Phil Hutton
Managing Director
With a background as a qualified Fitter & Turner, Phil has worked across the mining and food manufacturing industries – earning himself a “MacGyver” reputation during his career due to his remarkable problem-solving skills. Identifying a significant gap in the industry led Phil to establish Hutton Contracting in 2006 with his wife, Julie. This venture evolved into Asset Maintenance Solutions WA.
Born and bred in the South West, he is deeply connected to the local community, a proud life member of the Capel Polocross Club and sponsoring many charities, clubs and events close to his heart.
Phil is dedicated to providing long-term solutions rather than quick fixes, and he values creating tailored approaches for each client’s unique needs. When he’s not working, you can find him competing at the local bowls and he loves spending quality time as “Pop” with his grandkids.
Julie Hutton
Director
Julie, co-founder of Asset Maintenance Solutions alongside Phil Hutton, brings extensive administrative experience to the team. Her career includes five years as a strata manager, where she relished the problem-solving aspects of her role.
With 25 years of experience as a vigneron, Julie’s dedication to viticulture led her to delve into biodynamics, improve soil health, and rehabilitate natural waterways. She has overseen the planting of over 2,000 trees and shrubs on her property, reflecting her commitment to sustainable practices. Julie also holds a post-graduate degree in wine marketing from ECU and has actively promoted the Geographe wine industry.
A native of Bunbury, Julie returned to her roots after some time away and has made her current property her home for many years. She enjoys living in a family-oriented environment and finds joy in swimming, Pilates, walking, and recently Julie has also embarked on a new adventure with her pony, Dusty, by starting carriage driving and looks forward to spending more time behind the reins.
John Nye-Chart
Project Manager
Born in Mt Barker and raised in the Great Southern, John has called North Boyanup, home since 2016. With a young family, John embraces an active lifestyle, driven by his commitment to health, fitness, and a strong sense of community.
His career journey spans agriculture, construction, civil construction, and the maintenance and protection of water and wastewater assets, with a special focus on concrete and concrete corrosion repairs. John enjoys taking a hands-on approach and working with his team to find effective solutions.
John is currently formalising his skills through project management studies and looks forward to bringing these new insights into his work.
Scott Smail
Technician
Originally from Victoria, Scott is a qualified Fitter & Turner with a passion for the outdoors. After extensive travels both overseas and 18 months across Australia in search of a better quality of life, Scott found his home in the South West.
A keen cyclist, Scott rides an impressive 350 km per week, reflecting his commitment to a healthy lifestyle. He enjoys the work-life balance and the variety of projects at Asset Maintenance Solutions, where he values the dynamic and fulfilling nature of his role.
Cindy Brezovnik
Office Manager
Born and raised in North Queensland, Cindy moved to the South West with her young family in 2013 and now proudly calls it home.
With a rich background in hospitality management and real estate, Cindy excels in customer service and quality assurance. She is currently expanding her expertise through studies in workplace health and safety, ensuring that our team always prioritises safety.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys diving into a good novel or spending time on the golf course.
